Layers of dark clouds hung low over the serpentine river,
while a breeze fluttered her cascade of snow that reached the base of her spine.
Dark silk clung to her pallid flesh, wrapping her in a cocoon of darkness. The
brilliant plum flowers twisted between the tips of her thumb and index finger.
Lifting them in view of her liquid blue rimmed grey eyes; she watched the small
flowers tumble through the humid air and in to the somber waters. With a twist of the neck her eyes gazed upon the white plantation house dressed with cornflower
blue shutters. A shadow silhouetted the bedroom window, moving the curtain with
a whisper of a breath. A twine of salty southern
wind swirled through the palm trees, lullabying the leaves with a hush.
And with that hush, she vanished, right in to the thick
Florida air.
That's what I'm loving...
